Review: Influenster Breezy VoxBox

know….it’s been a while since my last post. I know I said my posting schedule was going to change, but I never mentioned a two-week break and guys, I was not planning on being gone but good news – I’m finally back!

Hello everyone and welcome back!

I didn’t post last Friday because I got sick towards the end of last week. It took me all weekend to recover. Monday came around and I decided to do a one-day DIY project and blog about it for Tuesday, but it ended up lasting three days and I didn’t get to finish until Wednesday night….lol. So there was no post Tuesday either. I’ll be showing and talking to y’all about this DIY project in an upcoming post VERY VERY soon.  🙂

For today, I wanted to share with y’all what I got in the Influenster Breezy VoxBox and what my thoughts are on the products that came inside.

Breezy VoxBox

This VoxBox has an assortment of products that don’t all fall under one category. A majority of them are beauty-related, except for these two products…

Sour Punch Bites – Ragin’ Reds & Sour Punch Pineapple-Mango Chili Straws

I LOVE sweets, but I’ve never been big on candy. However, these candies came at a great time. The following weekend after I received these, I went to see Wonder Woman at the theatre. I snuck these in my bag and snacked on these with Chris. These were so good! I’m so glad that I didn’t get anything grape-flavored. I hate grape-flavored candy because it reminds me of the allergy and cough syrup that I drank a lot as a child. So I really liked the flavors that I got  and would definitely eat these again!

Now we can move on to the beauty-related products.

Origins – A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea & Origins – A Perfect World SPF 20 Age-Defense Eye Cream with White Tea

I’ve tried Origins products before and have found that they smell wonderful and these products are no exception! I love the scent of these and was super excited to have received these in the voxbox. Previously, I have found that Origins moisturizers do a great job hydrating the skin, but feel really heavy on the skin. This moisturizer doesn’t feel heavy at all, BUT, sadly, this broke me out. I don’t know if it’s both or just one of them, because I tried them both at the same time. A day after I started using this product, I developed several patches of small bumps on my face – in the left corner of my forehead, the right temple, left cheek bone, under the right inner corner of the eye (eye bags area) and the whole right side of the jaw bone. So I wish I had more and better things to say about these moisturizers, but besides the joyful scent, I’ve got nothing else to say. This was the only new face product that I was trying so I’m pretty sure it was this product that caused the breakout. I haven’t used it since the second day and will be passing it off to a friend.

PRoFOOT – Heel Rescue Superior Moisturizing Foot Cream

The soles of my feet have always been really dry and crackly. I go through phases where I go hardcore at exfoliating and moisturizing my feet. When I received this product, I was not using a foot cream, but since I have started using it, I have found that my feet, soles in particular, are less dry. I used to love using spa-scented foot creams but have found that the lingering scent will mix with my feet sweat and make my feet smell horrible after work. So I love that this foot cream is fragrance free and doesn’t feel greasy.

Head & Shoulders – Repair & Protect Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner

I used to have really bad dandruff and always needed to use a dandruff shampoo in conjunction with my secret holy-grail product (which I will be sharing with y’all soon – I promise! It’s going to be epic!). I like to rotate shampoos after each bottle is used up. I’m currently using the Selsun Blue dandruff shampoo so I haven’t really used this shampoo & conditioner yet, but I have used Head & Shoulders before and I love this brand. They have great scents and their products work well. It definitely tames my dandruff, which is excellent. I’m sure that these two are no exception.

Nair Hair Remover – Wax Ready Strips for Face & Bikini

I feel a little embarrassed sharing this with y’all, but I used to shave my face – just my upper lip, jaw bone, and side burn areas. In February, I started getting laser hair removal for my upper lip, so the places that I tested these strips on were the jaw bone and side burns. I was a little skeptical about using this at first, but after I tried it, I have become a believer! These are super easy to use and work so well! It removed the hair on my side burns beautifully! You can use a strip for more than one pull (but not multiple uses). I managed to apply these strips five times each before they loss effectiveness. There’s also a post-waxing wipe the comes with the strips. The wipe is used to soothe and moisturize the waxed area and also helps remove any wax residue. For small areas, I think these would be perfect and they are travel friendly so I can stash these in my travel or on-the-go makeup bag!

That’s all the products I got in this Influenster VoxBox!

A huge Thank You to Influenster for letting me try these products. I am so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to my next VoxBox!

I’ve never heard of Influenster but I think it’s awesome that they include sweets and beauty products in one box!

Influenster is a great way for newer and smaller-audience influencers to get the opportunity to try new makeup. It’s kind of the equivalent to well-known, big time influencers receiving PR packages from makeup brands.

This is such a fun box to receive! I haven’t tried that Origins moisturizer yet but I know I have a sample of it somewhere that I’ll get to eventually. My skin is prone to breakouts so I’ll definitely mention if it does the same to me!

The Nair wax strips look good! I remember trying at home waxing a long time ago. I’m totally interested in laser hair removal though. Is it expensive? I imagine smaller areas are less expensive than say, your entire legs. How long does it last?

Yes, price depends on the area you want treated. Price also depends on where you go. I have gone to two places now and the prices vary alot so it’s hard to say. The amount of treatments depend on your hair type and growth. They say most areas take 6-8 treatments to see about 50-75% reduction, and 8-10 treatments for 90%. It’s not 100% or permanent. Once you basically have 99% hair growth reduction, you only need an annual or bi-annual treatment for upkeep.
