Fiona Stiles Review & Haul Update

es… I know this is coming so late, but it’s better late than never, right?

Hello beauties and welcome back!

Today I am finally going to update y’all on what I think about the Fiona Stiles makeup products that I had hauled two months ago. (If you missed that post, you can click HERE to read my first impressions and see product swatches.) Although two months may seem like too long of a time, it was actually a good amount of time for me to really get to know these products, like how they work best, what to do and what not to do to achieve a desired makeup look. So if you are interested in finding out what I think about these makeup goodies, keep on reading!

Luminous Finish Foundation

This foundation gives my skin such a healthy glow and it has really good medium-to-full coverage. I really like how my skin looks with this foundation, but the product feels really tacky, so it has to be set with a powder. If you don’t set it, it won’t dry and surprisingly, setting it with powder doesn’t make my skin look completely matte, my skin still has a subtle glow to it. Another thing, if you don’t set it with powder, the foundation tends to slip and slide all over the place. Now, this is my experience with it. I have combo/oily skin in the summer. In the winter, when my skin is drier, the foundation may sit better on the face because drier skin may grab onto it more for the hydration. With that being said, I’m going to save this foundation for the colder drier months. For now, I’ll use matte foundations for better oil control. I wish I got this foundation with the matte formula. I hear that it performs really well for oily skin types. As for people who have dry/normal skin all the time, you will probably love this foundation for everyday use, not just in the winter.

Micro-Precision Brow Sculpting Pencil

The shade of this pencil is perfect. Like I said before, the shade is not too warm or too cool. When I use this to fill in the gaps in my brows, it looks so natural, but I do have to use a light hand. If not, my brows can easily look like a color pencil had colored them in.

Bronzing Sun Veil

Again, I had mentioned before that this shade is perfect for contour. I like to pair it with a bronzer that has a warmer undertone for perfect but naturally sculpted, bronzy cheekbones. It’s not super pigmented, so I do have to slowly build it up, which I actually really like. I rather slowly build than take forever trying to blend out excessive product. Going back to seeting the face – I find that if I don’t set my face, the product will look slightly splotchy. Other than that tidbit, I really like it.

Soft Cheek Veil

This blush gives me such a natural flush. It’s very pretty and blends on top of other face products easily. On its own, it can last up to 3-4 hours on my cheeks, which isn’t very long-wearing but if you use a cream blush as a base first and then add this blush, it will last much longer. I was going to do a “Dupe Wars” post on these two, but since this product is sold out and not available at Ulta anymore, I figured it would be pointless. So is it a dupe for the Benefit Dandelion blush? I would have to say “yes”. Seriously though, it really is too bad that it isn’t available anymore. At $10, it was a steal!

Creamy Long-Wear Lip Contouring Pencil

Wow, I love the color of this pencil. It’s a perfect pinky nude shade. The formula is super creamy. When I apply it, it effortlessly glides on my lips. I love pairing it with lipsticks and glosses, but it can also be worn on its own!

Hydrashine Essential Lip Color

I feel the same way about this lipstick – beautiful color and easy application. However, it does settle into the cracks of dried lips. Be sure to exfoliate, moisturize, or use a lip liner before applying. Other than that, it’s amazing. I wore this nonstop for 2 weeks with the lip pencil. Then I forced myself to wear something else or combine it with other lip products.
