Today I am going to be sharing with y’all makeup products that I have been loving during the month of March. I haven’t done a favorites post in a very long time and after watching several YouTube monthly favorites videos, it has inspired me to write this post! So if you’re like me and love learning about products that people have fallen in love with, keep on reading!
Jouer Cosmetics – Blush Bouquet Duo in Adore ($30)
Before this, I had never tried Jouer before and I have been wanting to try this brand, but there wasn’t a product that I felt like I needed to try right away. So I kept pushing it back until I saw this product. I INSTANTLY fell in love with the packaging and it’s what drove me to make an order ASAP. The packaging is so sleek, feminine and luxurious. The top of the compact is a very light blush pink with a soft gold rectangular trim. The name of the brand “Jouer” is also in the same soft gold color. Then there’s this beautiful soft gold floral print around the border. At first, I thought the flowers were peonies and I literally gasped when I saw it, because peonies are my favorite flower. Anything peony – I have to have. But once I actually had the product in front of me, I realized that the floral print is of roses, which to be completely honest, I was slightly disappointed, but roses are still beautiful and I still love the packaging. I love that the mirror in the compact is the entire size of the top. It is a decent size and definitely useable.
Now for the product itself – both colors are so pretty. Adore Me and Hold Me have the warm pinky peach tones that I LOVE for blushes. Adore Me is a matte and Hold Me is a shimmer. Sometimes I’ll wear Adore Me by itself or I’ll top it off with Hold Me. These blushes are pigmented and blend like a dream! This has become my favorite blush (duo) of all time! I love the packaging and the product itself. I have worn this everyday since I’ve gotten it!
I know I have the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Split featured above, but this is only version of Champagne Pop that I have now. I used to have the full pan, but a friend of mine “borrowed” it and never gave it back, lol. 😂 I don’t blame her. This highlighter is so good! It’s not a new product, but I hadn’t used this highlighter in a while. I was trying and wearing a bunch of other highlighters but decided to use some old favorites and by doing so, I remembered how much I loved this highlighter when I started using it again. This highlighter just looks so smooth and beautiful on the cheekbones. Even if I have texture on my cheekbones, this product doesn’t emphasize it at all. I have a few other Becca highlighters and they’re also really nice, but this one is my favorite. I highly recommend Becca highlights if you haven’t tried them before.
Marc Jacobs Beauty – Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palettes in Glambition and Scandalust ($49 each)
During the Sephora VIB sale, I finally decided to take the plunge and get these palettes. Even with the 20% discount, these palettes were pretty pricey, but I’m glad that I got them. Influencers were saying how pigmented and blendable this formula is and they are right! For the price of $40, you could get a bigger palette with more shades, but don’t be fooled. The seven shades in each palette can be used to create a variety of looks. I also love to mix shades so it’s not limited to just seven.
For example, I like to mix the shimmer shades, Known For and The Most in the Glambition palette. Known For is a very warm, orange bronze and The Most is a light pink. When you mix the two, you get deep rose gold – it’s not as orange as Known For but not as pale and pink as The Most. I have been using both of these palettes regularly since I’ve purchased them and definitely don’t regret it.
Stila – Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Kitten Karma ($24)
I got several of these Stila liquid eyeshadows last year, but haven’t had very many occasions to wear it because everyday I like to have more of a natural glam look as opposed to dramatic glitter, full-on glam. Now I’ve worn these shadows on four different occasions: Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s, and Easter and I love it every time. This product is so easy to apply, it stays on all day, there’s no fall-out and Stila also comes out with new colors all the time. My favorite is Kitten Karma. I’m going to post a makeup look with these soon, so look forward to it if you want to see these glitters in action!
Make Up For Ever – Excessive Lash Mascara ($25)
The last favorite is this mascara. I actually didn’t really like this mascara at first, because it doesn’t really give me the volume and length that I typically want from a mascara. It does enhance the look of my natural lashes and it doesn’t smudge, but that’s it. So I don’t use this mascara for my top lashes. I like this mascara for the bottom lashes. The wand is small and perfect for the lower lashes, unlike the typical mascara wand that is too big and ends up marking the lower lash line with product, which usually ruins the whole look. With this small wand, I can get in there and not worry about accidentally hitting the lower lash line and it gives the lower lashes just enough definition to where it’s not looking clumpy. Would I purchase the full-size? Most likely not, but I will keep enjoying this product until it runs out and then I’ll go back to the Pixi Lower Lash Mascara.
Definitely let me know what your favorites are. If it’s something I haven’t tried yet, I would love to get it and see if I like it as well. I hope y’all have a great day and I’ll ttyl~
